About Me
Alysia Gibson
20, Hampshire, UK.
I first began to learn how to windsurf when I was 6 years old. Originally trained by my father who used to be a competitive windsurfer. I fell in love with the sport and I soon began to create my own path into the world of competitive windsurfing.
I was very lucky to have had the local sailing club nearby and access to the waves at the back of my garden, being so close to the water made it very handy to be able to train whenever I could.
Today, I’m a member of the British Sailing Team, and Team GB’s Olympic RS:X Women’s training partner for the upcoming 2021 Olympic games. I am also training on iQ FOiL for the Paris 2024 games. I regularly train and compete both nationally and internationally, representing the nation as part of TeamGB.
